Working together toward a common goal starts at the rank-and-file level and continues all the way up to the C-suite.<\/p>\n How to improve:<\/em> Listen carefully to others’ opinions and ideas before presenting yours. Learn the art of compromise, rather than just going your own way. Help motivate your fellow team members with praise, encouragement and offers of assistance.<\/p>\n Responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n Take accountability for your failures as well as successes \u2014 no passing the buck or throwing someone else under the bus. Companies expect their leaders to be honest and take responsibility for everything that happens under them.<\/p>\n How to improve:<\/em> When you screw up, say sorry, immediately followed by a suggestion for fixing the problem.
